America’s ‘fabric’ nicely portrayed in two-part series

Thanks and congratulations on a most outstanding series of articles! ("Fabric of America," Sept. 23-24 by Allison Brophy Champion and Zann Miner.)

The writing and the extensive research is very impressive. This is probably the best series I have ever read in a local newspaper. I hope it gets picked up by other papers. It has the potential for bringing folks together, as we see that this country is indeed a blend of the best of many races and cultures.

If this series does not win a state or greater award for journalism, it will be a great injustice to you both. Thanks for your insight and the many hours of work that went into this effort. You have set a high standard for what investigative journalism should be, and it's good to have something uplifting in this era of negative and depressing stories.

Keep up the good work. Again, thanks for a job well done. Peace from the suburbs of Reva.
