Branch is best candidate for aiding seniors

As a senior citizen, I would like to see Jim Branch as our new sheriff.

I am confident that Branch will continue the programs that have been effect for the last eight years.

These programs, such as the Culpeper TRIAD, Citizen's Law Enforcement Academy, and the sheriff's quarterly meetings keep us informed as to how the increase in the population can affect the older population.

Each month my wife and I go to the TRIAD meeting. There we share with the Sheriff's Office and the town Police Department the latest word on gangs, robberies and scams in the Culpeper area.

The sheriff and Major Jim Branch have given much to this organization to help the older folks of our community. To my knowledg, Scott Jenkins has never given us any of his time.

My wife has gotten a lot of information from these meetings.

The most important information was about identity theft. There have been a number of articles in the AARP bulletin concerning the importance of protecting your Social Security number.

Then I saw in the newspaper that Scott Jenkins has made public Lee Hart's personal information. This to me is a violation of the law that we as senior citizens have been instructed never to do.

Scott Jenkins, how can you do this kind of thing and want us to vote for you for sheriff-
