Branch would be a good role model as the next sheriff

I believe that our sheriff should be a role model to us all.

He or she should have honor, integrity, a strong moral code, knowledge of the law and above all else the wisdom and patience to put it all together.

Jim Branch is such a man.

He has worked as a patrol officer, investigator and an administrator.

His credits include things such as establishing a DARE program in Orange County when he worked there, helping to establish the Citizen's Law Enforcement Academy and commanding the SWAT and crisis negotiations teams.

Jim is a graduate of the FBI Leadership Academy. He is a respectable man with all of the abovementioned characteristics.
I have had the honor of working with Jim in law enforcement for approximately nine years.

He is not only an upstanding citizen of this community, but he also has proven himself as an effective law enforcement officer and administrator.

Jim will use all of his training and experience to help our community as it grows.

He is proactive in training, recruitment and retention of personnel, providing benefits for deputies and offering programs that benefit our community.

Jim not only has my confidence and respect, but also that of many of the people who proudly serve our community.
