Career Expo had positive impact on community
Published: May 3, 2007
Thanks so much to the Star-Exponent for including Dewberry in your nice article ("Making connections," April 27) and for putting Phil Ebaugh on the front page as part of the 2007 Career Expo at Culpeper County High School.
We are committed to the community.
I encourage our staff to get involved and the results are gratifying.
The Career Expo is a great thing to do.
It's a positive thing for us to be involved in- along with other area businesses - helping connect students with their potential.
I would encourage all businesses to participate.
This is a positive example of people connecting with people and sharing personal career experiences.
The opportunity for positively impacting students is huge.
Through such events we can show them that they have a choice in their future and can make informed decisions.
Phil and I were impressed with the diversity and level of preparedness of many students, including quite a few of whom had resumes.
Through cooperative programs like this, these students are being well prepared by this community for their future. Please pass along my thanks to the editor and the rest of the Star-Exponent staff.
