» The long-serving physician has a new part-time role that should promote efficiency between staff at Culpeper Regional Hospital.
Dr. Morton P. Chiles III may be retired, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t still serving Culpeper, a place he’s made home for more than 30 years. Chiles is working slightly less than full time as Culpeper Regional Hospital’s vice president of medical staff services, a liaison between the medical staff and hospital administrators.
Culpeper is fortunate to have a dedicated physician such as Chiles still willing to help provide quality service at a time when health care is such a major concern throughout the country.
CRH representatives say that Chiles’ hiring was aimed at making it a better hospital, and it’s just the latest in a series of steps CRH has taken to improve its ability to care for patients and meet the challenges it faces.

Congratulations to the members of Culpeper’s chapter of the AARP, which reached its 45th anniversary earlier this month. The group took the opportunity to celebrate its milestone and honor some of its oldest members. The AARP continues to offer benefits for its members and celebrate longevity.

Another long legacy that endures in the area is the Journey Through Hallowed Ground, a route from Gettysburg, Pa., to Monticello that passes through the area and recently received two grants to improve the road through Virginia.
The scenic byway is considered a national treasure, and rightfully so. Any designation that keeps people driving America’s beautiful stretches of highway and appreciating historical sites along the way is a positive development.
