Strongly in favor of Chase
As a Culpeper County native and longtime resident (I lived outside the county during my long military career),
Vote the native son: Payne
This letter is in support of Culpeper’s native son, Dewayne Payne, candidate for supervisor in the Stevensburg District.
Payne is not the voice of Stevensburg District
Thank you for Nate Delesline III’s excellent coverage of the County Planning Commission’s 4-3 vote to recommend home eviction for 77-year-old Alice Johnson of the Stevensburg District.

Bob Houck will receive my vote for the West Fairfax seat on the Culpeper County School Board.

Payne for supervisor in Stevensburg District
I support Dewayne Payne Jr. for Stevensburg supervisor.
Money for theater would be better spent elsewhere
In his letter Oct. 18, Mr. White is correct in requesting that the town monies to invest in the State Theatre be put up to a vote by the residents of Culpeper. After all, it is our money and it should be used wisely.
Ed Scott the best choice for House of Delegates
I wish to encourage everyone to support Del. Ed Scott for re-election. I
HOW I SEE IT: Bolling has been a fine lt. governor
A lot of folks have enjoyed using their voices in this newspaper to speak about the negativity of political campaigns and candidates this year, and all the while, they are the ones who are being negative and using unfair and misleading attacks.
For a Halloween scream, dust off those classic scary movies
Yes, Culpeper, I am one of those annoying grownups who still dresses up for Halloween. This year, I will represent a throwback to the ’80s, complete with big hair and fluorescent fishnets. But a large part of my Halloween is always the “cinematic experience.”

OUR VIEW: Webb, Warner easing into first terms in U.S. Senate
» With election time right around the corner, let’s look back at the state’s rookie senators: Democrats Jim Webb and Mark Warner.
Chase for supervisor
Bill Chase has been on the BOS for almost 28 years and has always been up front with his constituents and the residents of Culpeper County.

HOW I SEE IT: Both political parties have failed us
Both the Republican and Democratic parties have miserably failed the American citizens in the past 20 years.
Key to traffic roundabout is linkage to proposed inner loop road
Round and round we go, where it stops no one knows.
Must you vote GOP to be ‘in line with God’s will’?
This is the first that I recall seeing members of the faith community deliver negative campaign materials to church doorsteps, and I must say I am appalled.
Thanks from St. Luke’s
On behalf of St. Luke’s Lutheran School, I want to thank the Culpeper community for the support, financial or otherwise, you extended to us this past summer when our future was placed in doubt.
