These days, Facebook is for all – no matter your demographic
An intervention may be necessary; I believe I am a Facebook addict.
OUR VIEW: Republican momentum dominated this election
» The GOP swept its way to Richmond while reversing its fortunes from the past two gubernatorial campaigns.
HOW I SEE IT: That’s not your cell phone, Angie
I have to say, the majority of the people who have touched my life have been good people. So I guess I should consider myself lucky.

A ticket of plain, honest candidates will enjoy success today
The secret to the landslide success of the three statewide candidates on the 2009 Virginia Republican ticket may also be that they are simply plain, honest men.
Pampered pink by CRH, Pepperberries
I attended the Pamper Me Pink event Oct. 27 hosted by Culpeper Regional Hospital and Pepperberries. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
HOW I SEE IT: Chamber supports $1.5M for theater
The Culpeper Chamber of Commerce strongly supports the allocation of $1.5 million for funding by the town of Culpeper to advance the construction of the State Theatre renovation project.
Your opportunity to be an angel
Culpeper Social Services will again this year support the Culpeper Christmas Basket Program by displaying our angel tree at the local Walmart store.
OUR VIEW: Another important trip to the polls today
» It may not be a presidential election year, but citizens need to get out and vote in today’s state and local elections.

As sports and politics merge, ‘fans’ become the big losers
Halloween may be over, but in Virginia (and elsewhere), politics and sports continue the masquerade as each attempts to look more and more like the other.
Is it really universal health care?
I cannot imagine spending almost $1 trillion to fix a problem and still not fixing it.

HOW I SEE IT: Stand for truth on the abortion issue
On Tuesday, Dr. Laura Granruth wrote about the neglect she feels as a constituent of Republican attorney general candidate Ken Cuccinelli (“Cuccinelli would only continue his crusade”).
OUR VIEW: Funding the State Theatre a long-term gain for town
» If committing $1.5 million in financial backing is what it takes to get the project rolling, go for it.

Chase champions quality of life in Culpeper County
I have known Bill Chase as a close personal friend for 30 years and as a public servant for almost as many.
Payne not plain-spoken; Chase tells it like it is
One reason people admire farmers is because they are plain-spoken people who mean what they say and say what they mean.
Four more years of service
As a lifetime resident of Culpeper County and local businessman, I urge Stevensburg voters to re-elect Bill Chase as their county supervisor.
This Republican is voting for independent Bill Chase
I am a Republican Party activist who will vote a straight party ticket this year, with one exception.
A voice for constiuents
I have known Bill Chase for the past 28 years since his first campaign for Culpeper County supervisor in 1981.
Vote Bob in West Fairfax
I encourage you to vote for Bob Houck as School Board representative for West Fairfax on Tuesday.
Homegrown Houck best choice for School Board
We in the West Fairfax District have a School Board candidate, Robert Houck, who has lived in Culpeper since 1948 and graduated from our school system

Strongly in favor of Chase
As a Culpeper County native and longtime resident (I lived outside the county during my long military career),
Vote the native son: Payne
This letter is in support of Culpeper’s native son, Dewayne Payne, candidate for supervisor in the Stevensburg District.
Payne is not the voice of Stevensburg District
Thank you for Nate Delesline III’s excellent coverage of the County Planning Commission’s 4-3 vote to recommend home eviction for 77-year-old Alice Johnson of the Stevensburg District.
Houck a well-rounded pick for School Board
Bob Houck will receive my vote for the West Fairfax seat on the Culpeper County School Board.
