Cyclones top Spotsylvania

The Eastern View High School field hockey team traveled to Spotsylvania Wednesday for its final regular season match and came away with a 4-2 win.

The game was tied 1-1 at halftime, but the Cyclones (12-4, 11-3 district) exploded with two early goals in the second half and added a third insurance goal to secure the victory.

Brittany McCauley led Eastern View with two goals, while Taylor Odend’hal added a goal and two assists and Susie McCauley finished with a goal as well.

The Cyclones will be in action again Monday when they take on Chancellor at 6:30 p.m. in Maurey Park for the first round of the Battlefield District tournament.
