Jr. Legion: Nerkowski, Raiford lead Post past Stafford in extra innings

The American Legion Post 330 junior baseball team faced Stafford Friday and came away with a 3-2 victory.

John East got the start from the mound and went three innings, striking out three batters. Charlie Peavely replaced him and went four innings, striking out four.

Matt Nerkowski came in and closed the game, striking out four batters and giving up one walk.

Nerkowski led Post 330 from the plate going 2-for-2 with a triple and an RBI, while East went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and Aaron Raiford finished 2-for-5 and brought the winning run across the plate with a triple in the 10th inning.
