Blue Devils warm up for summer-league action at Highland

The Culpeper County High School boys basketball team traveled to Highland Wednesday for a warm-up session before their summer league begins next week and the Blue Devils didn’t dissapoint.

“We played two twenty-minute halves of basketball and never trailed once,” CCHS coach James Thomspon said.

The Blue Devils faced Liberty and Highland in a jamboree-style scrimmage tournament. Josh Majors led Culpeper in scoring, averaging 27 points a game, Justin Smith added 14 points a game and Nik Stewart finished with 12 points a game.

The Culpeper squad also included Larry Ralph, Malik Summers, Chris Miller and Andre White.

CCHS will officialy begin summer-league play Wednesday July 1, at 7 p.m. with a game against Highland on the Rams’ home court.
