Culpeper zips past Liberty

Culpeper County picked up its fourth victory in the Highland Summer Basketball League on Wednesday night, beating Liberty 89-78. The team made up of Culpeper County High School players, improved to 4-1 and will take on Fauquier next Wednesday for the league title.

Rising sophomore Josh Majors scored 26 points to lead the Culpeper team and rising junior Bobby Zajkoswki was on fire from the outside, scoring 18.
Big man Larry Ralph scored 14 along with Brian Thompson and Justin Smith.

“I’m real pleased with what I’m seeing,” Culpeper County High School coach James Thompson said. “Everybody’s getting some valuable experience.”
