Eastern View’s girls basketball team met King George in the consolation round of the Battlefield tournament Saturday and came away with a 58-54 win in overtime.
“We started off flat,” EVHS coach Mike McCombs said. “But we came back from the dead in the second half.”
Senior Courtney White led the Cyclones with 19 points and 19 rebounds, while Courtney Shanks added 15 points and eight rebounds and Myesha Brock finished with 11.
King George’s Kara Bryant led the Foxes with 17 points, 15 of which came from three-point range.
