FRIDAY FOOTBALL UPDATES: Culpeper up at half, EVHS trailing

At Courtland Eastern View failed to capitalize on getting inside the Courtland 15 twice and trailed the Cougars 13-0 at halftime.

The Cougars led visiting Eastern View 6-0 after one quarter. Courtland’s score came when Michael Bailey ran 13 yards to the Eastern View one-yard line, fumbled the ball, and Brandon Mazell recovered in the end zone. On the next possession, Eastern View drove to the Cougar 6 yard line, where quarterback Simon Pendelton was intercepted by Maha Williams on fourth and four.

At King George Culpeper rallied to take a 14-6 lead at halftime over King George. The Foxes had a 6-0 lead over Culpeper after one quarter.
