FRIDAY FOOTBALL UPDATES: Courtland beats CCHS, Eastern View wins

At Courtland Courtland remained unbeaten in the Battlefield District, handing Culpeper a 50-13 loss on Friday night.
After three quarters, Courtland led Eastern View 36-13.
The Courtland defense extended their streak of scoreless quarters to 21 and quarterback Ryan McBroom guided the offense to a 9-0 lead over visiting Culpeper at the end of the first period.
Culpeper got on the board in the second quarter with a touchdown pass from Donald Downs, but Courtland led 21-7 at the half.
At Caroline Eastern View led Caroline 42-0 after three quarters and that was the final score over the Cavaliers.
The Eastern View Cyclones got off to a hot start, leading Caroline 14-0 after one quarter and extended the lead in the second period. EVHS was on top 35-0 with 30 seconds remaining in the first half, but play was stopped for a Caroline injury.
