Fauquier stays unbeaten with win over Osbourn

At the start of Friday's Group AAA Cedar Run District game against visiting Fauquier, it appeared Osbourn's offense was in sync.
The Eagles marched seven plays for 53 yards to score on their first possession when running back Amarciel Roy barreled in from 13 yards out.
But then some old habits kicked back in. Osbourn, which entered the game having committed 37 turnovers in its first five games, added another five to that total Friday in a 20-14 loss.
And that went a long way toward sending a program that went 14-0 in 2006 and won the Division 6 state championship to now only being able to finish the season at best with a .500 record.
The Eagles are 1-5 overall and 1-2 in the district.
After throwing three interceptions in last Friday's loss to Potomac, the Eagles opted to start the game running the ball more against Fauquier.
Roy got most of the carries and had 58 yards by halftime.
But Fauquier (6-0, 3-0) began to shut Osbourn's running game down, taking away holes for Roy to run through on the inside.
Two fumbles also didn't help nor did the loss of leading rusher Jerell McFadden to injury early in the second quarter.
Down 20-7 going into the fourth quarter, Osbourn eventually went to the air with Derrick Hyles at quarterback.
Hyles, who did not start the game at that position, got Osbourn to within six when he found Wayne Terrell for a 26-yard touchdown pass with 7:19 left in the game.
Terrell actually caught the pass off a tip.
From there, Osbourn had three more possessions, but two ended with interceptions, including one in the end zone, and other with an incompletion with under a minute left.
Fauquier's passing game gave Osbourn fits a good part of the night.
Quarterback Kyle Neumann entered the game midway through the second quarter and gave the Falcons an immediate lift.
Neumann threw three touchdown passes and for 227 yards.
