Tutt tosses no-no; Highland wins

Highland School's Reba Tutt pitched a no-hitter, striking out 13 and the Hawks' bats propelled Highland to a 20-0 victory over Notre Dame Academy.

Tutt also led the Hawks (11-1) offensively going 4-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs.

"The bats were on fire today," Highland head coach Donald O'Meara said. "We just hit the ball well."

Erin Whitney scored four runs and had an RBI while Ella Miller also had a home run and two RBIs. Maire Shaughnessy added a home run and a single.

Highland returns to action at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday when they play Holy Cross in a doubleheader at Lynchburg.
