Idol bait-and-switch

I like American Idol contestant Matt Giraud and so I was happy when the judges used their one save to keep him around last week. But then last night they tell us two contestants will leave during tonight’s results show. Ouch. So what was the point of the save? Just prolonging the inevitable, I suppose.
But yeah, I agree with the judges that this group of seven finalists is the best ever, when it comes to singing that is. The songs, as usual, are mostly dated and corny. Come on, disco night? Again? Good thing these kids can sing.
Cute Chris was hot hot hot last night singing the coolest, reggae beats arrangement of “She Works Hard for Her Money.“ Yeah dude, work it. I like it. My favorite of the night.
My girl Allison is still one of the best singers and Matt doing “Stayin Alive” was suprisingly good as well. Anoop looked pretty in pink and was quite smooth singing some song I never heard of: Dim all the lights, sweet baby? No, turn it up for Adam and his slow love song of regret. The judges sweat him. I like him all right. But he is a professional everybody. Poor, poor Lil—I really liked her at the beginning. But now, I think the pressure has gotten to her. She looked great last night—WOWZERS!!! Curvy.
