Idol five bring it big time
Last night’s performances by the top five Idol contestants were the read deal, dude. Add to that blockbuster singer and actor Jaime Foxx as the night’s mentor and the show was the bomb.
Cute Chris started things off, crooning, like butter, “The Way You Look Tonight.“ Foxx wants to do a record with him and I can see why: the kid has mad appeal.
Allison, the only female left in the competition, was very good as well, or as Randy put it, “Like Pink with 9,000 more octaves.“ Rough and tough voice indeed. And she’s only 17.
My man Danny is so damned pleasant I almost want to smack him. LOVED his performance last night and LOVED the song: “I’m Gonna Love You Like Nobody’s Loved You” (come rain or come shine). We got a hot one here America! Indeed, Danny had swag, especially at the end, he broke it down. My favorite of the night.
Adam, the clear favorite among the judges, put on quite the show too. What a mouth on that guy. I admit he’s good, though not my favorite. I’m with Cara: he’s confusing and shocking and sleazy and way over the top.
Sadly, I think we will say good-bye to Matt Giraud tonight. His performance was a little funny a little pitchy and not particularly memorable. Still, he’s got a future in the business, as do the rest of them that made it this far.
God bless America.
