Get a stake in new gold of the Internet

»  Comments | Post a Comment

There is a reason that NASCAR drivers use a raceway to run their cars. The vehicles are too fast and powerful to run on our public highways.

This is in contrast to what a skilled driver can do on the information super highway. The best and fastest drivers on the Internet run right along side of those with limited speed and agility.

The great thing about the Internet is that everyone has access to the raceway.

It is up to you to know how to put together your vehicle, pit crew, and strategy. Like a NASCAR track however, the pace on the Internet super highway is fast and always changing.

In today’s jargon there is Web 1.0 and now Web 2.0. Wed 1.0 is a Web site and is much like a brochure about your company. Web 2.0 is about interactively.

This includes blogs, Facebook, Twitter and several other components. The purpose of these tools is to drive traffic to your website, connect with a client community, and develop a cyber personality that attracts profitable revenue.

Some think that these tools are just for the young digital natives. However, one of my Facebook friends is in his late 80’s. Say good-bye to that myth.

These resources work in concert with traditional media as a “New Normal” in marketing strategy. With Web 1.0 and Web 2.0 included in a marketing strategy, businesses will find that new rivers of revenue will be diverted to their company from global sources.

There is gold in the turbulent waters of economic change. Get your tools together and stake out your claim for the new gold of Web 2.0.
