Over the weekend, two major wrecks sent three local residents to area hospitals.
Around 11:15 p.m. Friday, Julia L. Frymer was eastbound on Rocky Knoll Arch toward Burgandine Avenue in a 2005 Hyundai Elantra, according to Corey Byers, spokeswoman for the Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office.
At the same time, another female driver was northbound on Ira Hoffman Lane in a 2006 Toyota Tacoma when the two vehicles collided. The Tacoma struck the Hyundai on the passenger side.
It’s unclear where Frymer and the woman in the Tacoma were transported.
Frymer was charged with failure to yield the right of way.
On Sunday evening, a Jef-fersonton man was charged with DUI after the 2000 Nis-san Altima he was driving struck a tree and split the vehicle in half.
Jorge Arturo Gonzalez Erazo was northbound on Auburn Road around 6:21 p.m. when the wreck occurred, according to Byers.
She added that Erazo drove off the right side of the road, hitting the tree.
He was charged with driv-ing under the influence, failure to maintain control and driving on bald tires.
CRH spokeswoman Molly Mueller said Erazo was treated and released from CRH’s emergency room.
