Merry Christmas to Star-Exponent and your staff, Merry Christmas to Gladys Williams, Police Dept. for taking children out to buy gifts. What a wonderful thing to do for the children.
Giving of yourself is what Christmas is all about. Better to give then receive.
There are so many here in Culpeper that can not afford to buy gifts for their loved ones. There are homeless people here. I get the Star-Exponent and I read about what is going on right here in America. I know the churches do all they can. That is where you come in. Some of you can afford to give and give more. Dig a little deeper. Give til it hurts.
A smile on a child’s face or adult is so worth it. Isn’t it? It feels so good to give. I think the angel trees that are in different stores are so heart touching. What a blessing it is to have churches like St. Stephen’s feeding the homeless or someone who can’t afford a meal. It breaks my heart to hear there are people who have to live in their car. Yes, this goes on here in Culpeper. Just recently Sheltering Arms had to close. Most now are homeless. Some living in their cars.
I know times are hard, people are out of jobs. I lift these people up in prayer. Because I know how heart breaking it is for them. You know it could be you out there with no job, no place to live.
Feel like no one cares. There are people who care. Don’t give up hope. Hope is all we have. Without hope we have nothing.
Remember Jesus sees you and it is because of Jesus we celebrate Christmas.
Merry Christmas.
