Letter to the editor: Church offers thanks

»  Comments | Post a Comment

The members of The Little Fork Circuit United Methodist Men wish to thank all the Volunteers who came out to bag some 44,000 lbs. of sweet potatoes at the Tractor Supply Store Parking lot on Saturday Nov. 19th. However, there were many other people who helped in the project, with their prayers need to be thanked. Without all, the project would not have been a success in getting the sweet potatoes to some 4,000 families in the Culpeper, Madison, Fauquier, Orange, Page, and  Rappahannock counties.

We want to thank The Tractor Supply Store for the use of the parking lot, Wal-Mart for financial help, Star Exponent for articles on the drop, County Farm Service Inc. for the use of a very important scale.

Last but not least we need to thank all of the Churches, Senior Centers, Food banks, and Food Closets who provided transportation and distribution for the potatoes to the some 4,000 plus families.
