Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli will be the featured speaker at Culpeper’s Tea Party rally on April 15.
The rain or shine event is scheduled to run from 3 to 5 p.m. at Yowell Meadow Park.
Sponsored by the Greater Piedmont Tea Party, the Constitutional Tea Party and the American Family Association, the event will also feature patriotic music by local artists.
Cuccinelli is also scheduled to make a second appearance later that evening at the Giles H. Miller Jr. Republican Banquet, to be held at the Daniel Technology Center.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and tickets are $50 each or $90 per couple. Tickets include appetizers and a catered buffet dinner. A cash bar will also be available and proceeds will benefit the Culpeper County Republican Committee. Both the park event and the banquet are open to the public. Banquet registration is available online at culpepergop.org.
At both events, Rita Grace, a spokeswoman and organizer with the Constitutional Tea Party, said Cuccinelli is expected to discuss the latest information in his ongoing court challenge to President Obama’s health care legislation and other upcoming initiatives.
