The Culpeper '92 Lions Club would like to express our sincere appreciation to the approximately 175 people who attended our Santa Breakfast at the Depot on Dec. 10. Attendees enjoyed a pancake breakfast, Santa Giftshop, bake sale as well as a visit with Santa Claus!
The club thanks the members of the EVHS Leos who volunteered to be our wait staff; Alexis Knipfer , Caiti Brooks, Tyler Baker, Megan Grubbs, Kamara No Sar, Ranea Saadeh and Glorianna Giallombardo and their advisor Doug Eden as well as former CCHS Leos advisor, Latonda Hudgen.
We thank Leo family members Kristin Grubbs and Diana Saadeh for volunteering as well. We couldn't have done this without all of you! Thank you goes out to the Girl Scouts who volunteered at the kid's craft table, Allison McBride, Courtney Bock, Kristin Peters and Courtney Frazier and their leader Terri McBride.
Thanks also to our pancakes and sausage chefs, David Durr and Craig Jebson and a special thank you to our volunteer in the red suit, William "Doc" Plummer and his chauffer, Tom Henneman.
We are most appreciative for the generous donations from the following: Merchants's Grocery Co., Nicole Deermount, the Dawn Lions Club, Culpeper Farmer's Cooperative, Country Water Systems, VAMAC and Beth Castro.
Thank you to Judy Haun and the town office for their assistance in our use of the depot. We also want to thank the Star Exponent, the Culpeper Times, Chamber of Commerce, Dept. of Tourism and the Girl Scouts for getting the word out.
All proceeds from the breakfast will go to the Culpeper Food closet. We sincerely thank all who helped us with this community service event.
