Town software problem fixed

»  Comments | Post a Comment

The Town of Culpeper financial software problem was fixed Thursday night, allowing customer service representatives to begin updating and crediting customer’s utility accounts.

Payments made in person at the town’s treasurer’s office can now be handled as normal transactions.

The employees must now enter backlogged transactions that had to be handled manually due to the software problem and it will take several days to enter that data into the system.

Thursday, residents were alerted that the town’s computer system was having issues posting payments through the system.
