While thousands of high school football players around the country wrapped up their recruitments Wednesday on National Signing Day, the process continues for thousands more.
Announcements will continue to trickle in from players in and around Culpeper well into the spring and summer. Here’s a look at where many of them may end up:
» EASTERN VIEW
Alan Wayland, DT — A first team All-Battlefield District selection as a senior. Leaning toward the Apprentice School in Newport News, according to EVHS head coach Greg Hatfield, but also considering Ferrum College.
Moses Washington, ATH — Racked up 418 receiving yards and nine total touchdowns as a senior. Named first team All Region-I and All-Battlefield District. Considering Catholic University, Randolph-Macon College, Bridgewater College and Christopher Newport University.
Jeremiah Yates, RB — Considering Randolph-Macon, Bridgewater, Christopher Newport and Alderson-Broaddus College.
Simon Pendleton, ATH — Leaves Eastern View as the all-time leader in passing yards, passing touchdowns, total touchdowns and completions. Racked up 1,606 passing yards and 20 total touchdowns as a senior. Leaning toward John C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC.
V.J. Ivory, WR — Hauled in 50 passes for 836 yards and six touchdowns as a senior. Leaning toward John C. Smith University.
Enrique Marshall, ILB — Considering Bluefield College.
» CULPEPER
Chris Miller, TE — Honorable mention All-Battlefield District as a defensive end his senior year. Considering Bluefield College, Ferrum and University of Virginia’s College at Wise.
» ORANGE
Tyler Seal, ATH — A four-year varsity starter in football, basketball and baseball. Has a visit scheduled at Shepherd University and is considering Randolph-Macon, Bridgewater and Christopher Newport. Also considering a year of postgraduate school.
Brandon Sellers, DB — Scheduled to visit Shepherd.
» MADISON COUNTY
Travis Warren, WR — Expecting an offer from Shepherd, according to head coach Stuart Dean. Also considering Bridgewater, Emory & Henry College, Shenandoah University and Randolph-Macon. Finished with 750 receiving yards and eight touchdowns as a senior.
» Kettle Run
Mac Graham, QB — A three-year starter, who finished his senior season with 1,053 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground and 1,257 passing yards and 15 touchdowns through the air. Considering Hampden-Sydney College, Christopher Newport, UVa-Wise and Bridgewater.
Johnny Piette, ILB — Has scholarship offers from UVa-Wise and Chowan. Holds school record with more than 400 career tackles. Finished with 141 tackles, one sack, one interception and three forced fumbles as a senior.
Nashon Johnson, OLB — Has scholarship offers from Shepherd and Chowan and may get one from Western Carolina University, according to Kettle Run head coach Jeff Lloyd. Racked up 104 tackles, two sacks and three forced fumbles this season.
Skylar Brownlow, DE/OT — Considering Christopher Newport and UVa-Wise.
Julian Drakeford, CB — Considering Delaware State University.
» WILLIAM MONROE
Zach Duprey, TE — Signed with Elon University. Finished with almost 300 receiving yards and four touchdowns as a senior.
» JAMES MONROE
Ethan Preston, ATH — Co-Battlefield District Defensive Player of the year as a junior after totaling more than 14 sacks and offensive player of the year after finishing with 1,907 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns as a senior. Signed with Virginia Military Institute on Wednesday.
Robert McClure, OL — Signed with Lock Haven University last season, but was forced to stay home due to family issues. Signed on Wednesday with Lackawanna Community College in Scranton, Pa.
