SPOTSYLVANIA — Eastern View High School’s wrestling team hit the road Saturday for the Battlefield District tournament at Chancellor, and the Cyclones crowned six champions along the way.
Bryan Ramey (106 pounds), Nathaniel Aldiva (120), Kevin Willems (126), Austin Jenkins (138), Logan Shurina (152) and Brandon Layher (160) all finished first in their respective weight classes.
The Cyclones also claimed the team championship with 266.5 points. Culpeper County High School finished eighth.
Eastern View’s Jamey Lynch (145), Jordan Miner (182), Chris Hunley (195) and James Layher (220) all finished second. Corey Pollard (Heavyweight) and Tony Pritt (132) finished third, while Brien Quetsch (113) finished fourth.
Culpeper’s Jared Engh (132) finished second, while John Canon (106), Dakota Brackenridge (195) and Wyatt Carroll (heavyweight) all finished fourth. Andrew McIntyre (113) and Cody Vick (182) finished fifth, while Dartagnan Dwyer (152) and Dimtri Dwyer (160) both finished sixth.
Top-four finishers move on to the Region-I tournament Saturday at New Kent High School.

Woodberry Forest School’s wrestling team made the trek to Collegiate School in Richmond Saturday for the Prep League Championships, and the Tigers came away with some gold.
Brandon Walker went 4-0, winning three matches by pin, and claiming the 126-pound championship. Teammate Taylor Reuss finished second at 160 pounds.
