Following the money: Culpeper's House of Delegates' candidates

»  Comments | Post a Comment

The 30th District incumbent for House of Delegates, representing most of Culpeper County, is unopposed in next month’s election. He has received more than $30,000 so far this year in campaign contributions.

In the 18th District delegates’ race, impacting the county’s northern end, two candidates are running for office for the first time in a contest in which the Republican’s contributions outweigh his opponent’s by more than $100,000. In fact, the Democrat in the 18th District race received no donations as of August 31, according to campaign finance information from the Virginia State Board of Elections and the Virginia Public Access Project.
