Following the money: Culpeper's House of Delegates' candidates

The 30^th District incumbent for House of Delegates, representing most of Culpeper County, is unopposed in next month’s election. He has received more than $30,000 so far this year in campaign contributions.

In the 18^th District delegates’ race, impacting the county’s northern end, two candidates are running for office for the first time in a contest in which the Republican’s contributions outweigh his opponent’s by more than $100,000. In fact, the Democrat in the 18^th District race received no donations as of August 31, according to campaign finance information from the Virginia State Board of Elections and the Virginia Public Access Project.
